The first thing we need from our President is faithfulness to the oath of office:"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States." It may seam too obvious to some, but first principles are important.

First, the Democratic Party must learn how to stick together. Everyone in the Party is always talking out of both sides of the mouth. They are returning to their old former days of the 40's, when they were racist. Plus, they do not stick together on issues, and they vote on the same lines as Bush and Cheney does. Just last week a bill was past through the U.S. Senate to make it legal to incarcerate 13 year old with manditory life. This was done by Senator Finstein of CA, a Democrat, not by the Republicans.

If the Democratic Pary keeps on taking African-Americans for granted we will show you like we did when Blanchard ran against Engler for Governor. Blanchard thought he had the African-Americans in Detroit in the bag, because he thought he did not have to campaign there. So, he lost by a large margin.

The only way they will be able to lead, is only if they take the African-Americans serious.
